Theres no denying the fact that I’m a ballet enthusiast (I’m no way a professional! I just LOVE everything to do with it). If there’s a ballet inspired workout i’ll find it. I came across this on Pinterest and couldn’t help but give it a go. The exercises themselves aren’t revolutionary but the order and reps combined creates the intensity. I love it - so quick and easy to do as well.
I’ve been to a few core stability classes - mostly all focussed on using the stability ball…this one pretty much just went back to the basics. Everything was done in the conventional 3 sets of 12 reps including traditional sit-ups to start, oblique crunches, leg lifts; it was nothing new or that exciting but ironically it was a refreshing change from all the ‘new’ that’s out there. There was a very small segment using a stability ball but mainly for balance work.
Even though it was the basics, it was good to go back to the old classics!! Nothing like a small dose of tradition!
Just tried it for the first time on holiday in Seychelles, and honestly i’ve never felt more relaxed than I did after leaving the session. Couldn’t have come at a more welcome time either. Definitely a must do again! Going to try and find my own tapes to listen to…and get a picture (if I can) of the most tranquil setting and backdrop I was lucky enough to do it to!! <3
So after not having played squash for over 3 years, there’s no time to pick it up again than when on holiday! After 45 minutes I came away sweating but invigorated! Hoping to feel the effects of it tomorrow!
Im on my summer holidays now back at home in Dubai. I love seeing the differences all around when it comes to the conventional classes and I’m so lucky that I can compare different countries right now!
Apart from being insanely hot in the studio its environment and enthusiasm within the class never changes. I’ve been dancing since I was a kid so definitely one of my favourite classes I’ll ever go to!! And you never realise you’re doing a work out - it’s just too much fun!
Probably the funniest moment for me was hearing two of the same songs they use in a class in Watford, UK that I love to go to….its the memories! <3

I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.’
